Back-to-school training is always a busy time at Forest Rose, as staff try to fit in as much learning as possible before students arrive. For several years, the team has participated in crisis intervention training each August.
This summer, at the last minute, Carissa stepped in to facilitate the training, and it made all the difference. Her deep understanding of both the content and the students at Forest Rose helped staff connect with the material in a whole new way. She brought energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine desire for the team to understand how the principles apply in real-life situations. Thanks to her hard work, staff are now better equipped and empowered to recognize and respond to the many ways students communicate.

Devin consistently goes above and beyond, often stepping in to help even when it falls outside of his responsibilities or caseload. His willingness to collaborate makes a meaningful difference both in day-to-day operations and in the lives of those he supports.
For example, when there was no coverage at the front desk, Devin paused what he was doing to sign for a package—without being asked. It’s just one of many small but impactful ways he contributes.
He also plays a key role in ensuring that service plans are signed by all team members, which can sometimes be a challenge to coordinate. When emails went unanswered in one instance, Devin took the initiative to follow up and secure the necessary signatures, helping to prevent any disruption in services.
Devin is always open to new ideas and willing to try suggestions that could improve processes. He consistently treats everyone with courtesy, friendliness, and respect. When a team member was out, Devin used his strong rapport with an individual to help them get the information they needed and make it to the correct meeting location.
Devin’s reliability, teamwork, and positive attitude make him an invaluable part of the team.
