Pursuant to Ohio Administrative Code Section 5123:2-2-02, the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities is required to conduct background investigations for purposes of employment. Please note that per 5123:2-2-02, there are five tiers of disqualifying offenses with corresponding time periods that preclude an applicant from being employed with this agency. Therefore, all applicants under final consideration will be required to submit to background checks through the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. For more information, please review OAC 5123:2-2-02. Also, due to safety issues within the workplace, prospective employees must also pass a drug test prior to being hired.

BEHAVIOR SUPPORT SPECIALIST

The Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities is searching for an additional Behavior Support Specialist.  This position serves as an advisor to our direct service network, helping to develop position intervention strategies and developing critical skills to our direct service staff. The successful candidate will have a firm knowledge of behavioral intervention techniques, tempered with real world experience to understand how respect for the individual and a positive environment can lead to better outcomes for the people we serve. INSTRUCTOR Assistant SUBSTITUTE

The Fairfield County Board of DD is currently accepting applications for the Instructor Substitute position. This is specialized work in the training of individuals who have developmental disabilities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.  For more information please click here.

The Fairfield County Board of DD is currently accepting applications for the Instructor Substitute position. This is specialized work in the training of individuals who have developmental disabilities. NURSE SUBSTITUTE

The Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Intermittent Nurse job duties include: 

Provides general nursing care to enrollees.  Acting on physician's directions, administers prescribed medication; maintains medication accountability records; maintains medication equipment and supplies.  Performs skilled nursing procedures.  Screens for communicable and nuisance diseases.  Provides consultation services with instructors, parents, guardians and/or significant others regarding health and safety-related issues of enrollees.  Assists in the area of personal health related matters (i.e. grooming, hygiene, safety, nutrition).  Assists in the development of policies and procedures related to health and safety issues.

You must be a Registered Nurse to be considered for this position.
