Pursuant to Ohio Administrative Code Section 5123:2-2-02, the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities is required to conduct background investigations for purposes of employment. Please note that per 5123:2-2-02, there are five tiers of disqualifying offenses with corresponding time periods that preclude an applicant from being employed with this agency. Therefore, all applicants under final consideration will be required to submit to background checks through the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. For more information, please review OAC 5123:2-2-02. Also, due to safety issues within the workplace, prospective employees must also pass a drug test prior to being hired.

Available Positions

Educational Aide

The Fairfield County Board of DD is looking for a full time Educational Aide. This candidate will be responsible for continuous and constant monitoring of an assigned individual to ensure safety and welfare of that individual and others. He/she will provide assistance in implementing programs and assist in providing structured activities and programs.  The candidate will provide physical assistance to assigned individual in areas of daily functioning including toileting, eating, dressing, mobility and hygiene. NURSE-RN 

The Fairfield County Board of DD is currently accepting applications for the full time Nurse position for Forest Rose School. This is a licensed individual who provides nursing services to students in an educational setting. Candidate will provides general nursing care to students.  Acting on physician's directions, will administer prescribed medication; maintain medication accountability records; maintain medication equipment, supplies and perform skilled nursing procedures.  The nurse will assist in the area of personal health related matters (i.e. grooming, hygiene, safety, nutrition) and also will assist in the development of policies and procedures related to health and safety issues. Posting will expire 6/22/17. INSTRUCTOR-SCHOOL AGE

The Fairfield County Board of DD is currently accepting applications for the Instructor-School Age position. This is work instructing and training individuals with developmental disabilities. A Bachelor's Degree is required for this position as well as Education of the Handicapped Certification from Ohio Department of Education. For more information please click here. 

 

INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT COORDINATOR ASSISTANT

The Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities is looking for a full time Individual Support Coordinator Assistant for an ISC team at our admin office.  The chosen candidate will be responsible for assisting individuals with applications and maintenance of benefits, assisting with paperwork and appointments. A High School Diploma is required for this position. Learning Never Ends is currently accepting applications for the Community Engagement Specialist Position. This individual will be responsible for provision of necessary supports and services to adults with developmental disabilities who attend a Day Habilitation and/or Employment Program.
