Pursuant to Ohio Administrative Code Section 5123:2-2-02, the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities is required to conduct background investigations for purposes of employment. Please note that per 5123:2-2-02, there are five tiers of disqualifying offenses with corresponding time periods that preclude an applicant from being employed with this agency. Therefore, all applicants under final consideration will be required to submit to background checks through the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. For more information, please review OAC 5123:2-2-02. Also, due to safety issues within the workplace, prospective employees must also pass a drug test prior to being hired.

IT Systems Specialist

The Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities is searching for a dynamic individual to serve in the role of IT Systems Specialist. This position provides support for internal applications and helps to develop new ways of using technology to achieve our mission.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent customer service skills, with database systems knowledge and experience in Microsoft Access preferred. Although a background in working with people with disabilities is not required, it is highly preferred.

Minimum of Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college/university, or a commensurate combination of education and experience including: Three years’ experience in computer technology and Two years’ experience in computer networks, including both wired LANs and access points for wireless networking.

The minimum hourly rate for this position is $20.77 and is based upon experience and qualifications and includes full county benefits.

Early Intervention Supervisor

The Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking and Early Intervention Supervisor. This position will supervise schedules and activities of Developmental Specialists and contracted ancillary. The EI Supervisor will observe services in the natural environments o families and provides feedback and support to all Early Intervention providers. The EI supervisor will oversee the referral process into the Early Intervention Program.

As an employee of the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities, the job incumbent shall comply with all Board policies, and shall demonstrate respect for, support dignity of, and observe the rights of all individuals served by the agency.

Bachelor's degree or graduate-level degree in education, health, social or behavioral science, social services, human services, or other related field from an accredited college or university is required for this position.

Minimum experience as follows: At least four years full-time, supervised, paid experience working with children birth through age five with disabilities, developmental delays, or diagnosed physical or mental conditions that have a high probability of resulting in a developmental delay and their families; or at least two years full-time, supervised, paid management experience and two years full-time supervised, paid experience directly working with children birth through age five with disabilities, developmental delays, or diagnosed physical or mental conditions that have a high probability of resulting in a developmental delay and their families.

The minimum hourly rate for this position begins at $23.54. Hourly rates are based upon experience and qualification. This position includes full county benefits.

EDUCATIONAL AIDE-part time

The Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Part Time Educational Aide for the 2018-2019 school year.

This is specialized work with Preschool children with and without developmental disabilities. The chosen candidate will be responsible for continuous and constant monitoring of an assigned student to ensure safety and welfare of student and staff. The candidate will also provide assistance in implementing programs.

As an employee of the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities, the job incumbent shall comply with all Board policies, and shall demonstrate respect for, support dignity of, and observe the rights of all individuals served by the agency.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position as well as current CPR, First Aide, and an Educational Aide Certificate from Ohio Department of Education. The minimum starting pay is $11.88 per hour. Pay is based on education and experience. Part-time positions are not eligible for benefits.

INSTRUCTOR ASSISTANT SUBSTITUTE

The Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking  Substitute Instructor Assistants. This is specialized work assisting an instructor in the training of individuals who have developmental disabilities. An employee in this classification will receive direction from an Instructor. Instructor Assistants may be assigned to assist more than one instructor. The hourly pay for this position is $11.00.

As an employee of the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities, the job incumbent shall comply with all Board policies, and shall demonstrate respect for, support dignity of, and observe the rights of all individuals served by the agency.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Substitute position are not eligible for benefits.

INSTRUCTOR SUBSTITUTE

The Fairfield County Board of DD is currently accepting applications for the Instructor Substitute position. This is specialized work in the training of individuals who have developmental disabilities. The hourly pay for this position is $20.00.

As an employee of the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities, the job incumbent shall comply with all Board policies, and shall demonstrate respect for, support dignity of, and observe the rights of all individuals served by the agency.

A Bachelor's degree or higher is required for this position as well as   Education of the Handicapped Certification from Ohio Department of Education.

NURSE SUBSTITUTE

The Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Intermittent Nurse job duties include: 

Provides general nursing care to enrollees.  Acting on physician's directions, administers prescribed medication; maintains medication accountability records; maintains medication equipment and supplies.  Performs skilled nursing procedures.  Screens for communicable and nuisance diseases.  Provides consultation services with instructors, parents, guardians and/or significant others regarding health and safety-related issues of enrollees.  Assists in the area of personal health related matters (i.e. grooming, hygiene, safety, nutrition).  Assists in the development of policies and procedures related to health and safety issues. The hourly pay for this position is $20.00 and you must be a Registered Nurse to be considered for this position.
