March was first designated as National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in 1987 by President Ronald Reagan, with the purpose of recognizing people with developmental disabilities’ potential to lead secure, productive, and self-directed lives. After 38 years, this focus remains the same for DD Agencies around the country. Here at Fairfield DD, our mission is to bring about a vibrant community where people lead lives of greater independence and make meaningful contributions. Join us in celebrating DD Awareness month by attending any of our local events detailed below.
