2012 McGhee Family Inspiration Award - Steve Rauch

Steve Rauch is one of our agency's biggest supporters. For many years he has volunteered as both a referee and National Anthem singer at our home Special Olympic basketball games. As president of WFCO 90.9 FM, he's not only given us an opportunity each week to tell our stories through the radio program Putting People First, he's supported our Special Olympics athletes by broadcasting both regular season and post-season tournament games. The radio station has also honored players of the game from each broadcast, as well as honored state championship and final four teams at its annual All-Sports Banquet. Steve has also given people with disabilities the opportunity to realize their dreams as sports broadcasters.
