Lancaster Aktion Club is a service organization for people with and without disabilities. It is a branch of Kiwanis International serving families and children all over the world. The Aktion Club meets every other Tuesday morning at The Fairfield Center for Disabilities at 681 East 6th Ave., Lancaster. Lifting the Limits Powerlifting Competition and Fundraiser

Fairfield County Athletics Association invites you and your family to join us and help support the 2018 Special Olympics Powerlifting Team. This is a fun competition designed for participants of all abilities and hosted by TrueFit Athletics. Participants will test their strength and limits in deadlift and bench press. There are 3 levels of sponsorship ($50, $75 and $100) and all proceeds support the athletes with competition fees and equipment. Kids Night Out/Parents Night Off at Geneva Hills

Each month on the first Thursday, FCBDD and Geneva Hills have partnered to provide a evening of fun for children with disabilities and their siblings while their parents get a break from providing constant care. The children can range in age from 5 to 16 and the cost is $10 for the first child and $5 for each additional child. Supervision, games, activities and dinner is provided to the children. Lyrical dance is a blend of dance styles and is generally fluid or smooth. Dancing is for everyone! The Pickerington Playgroup offers a monthly opportunity for children and their siblings, ages toddler to 6th grade, a time of  interaction and play with peers. Supervision is provided by the Pickerington Kiwanis and Key Club volunteers from North and Central  high schools.  The Parent group, known as Coffee, Tea and Autism, is supported by Autism Society Central Ohio and lead by parent, Sarah Walker. All disabilities are welcome. The featured speaker is Michelle Dexter, Fairfield County Board of DD Resource Supervisor, will talk with parents about funding options and medicaid waivers.
